About Our Program
Scott & White Hospital - Brenham is understandably proud of their volunteer program. Each year, the volunteers donate approximately 10,000 hours of service.
The volunteers bring a myriad of gifts and talent with them. They can be found throughout the facility - from the front information desk to enhancing patient care, delivering beverages and reading material to clerical assistance in the business and other offices. Volunteers range from retirees to teenagers and can volunteer as many hours that will suit their personal schedule.
Volunteers expand their horizons and develop camaraderie with others who share a common interest in helping others. There are as many reasons for volunteering as there are people who volunteer.
By volunteering, you will:
- Meet people
- Contribute to the community
- Develop new skills or maintain existing skills
- Explore career possibilities
- Have fun!
Adult volunteers have the opportunity to join the Scott & White Hospital - Brenham Auxiliary, our non-profit organization. In addition to their volunteer hours, the Auxiliary members staff the Gift Shop and conduct fundraisers throughout the year. Profits from these are used to purchase much needed non-budgeted items for the hospital and for local scholarships.
