At Scott & White Hospital - Brenham, we believe in the value of life as well as promoting  and providing good health for our community. That's why we are so pleased to announce the opening of the Scott & White Healthcare Imaging Center. The Imaging Center is located on the first floor of Scott & White's Professional Center I and offers digital mammography as well as bone densitometry testing.

DEXA: PRESERVING BONE HEALTH
In the United States, over 28 million people are at high risk for osteoporosis. One third of Caucasian women over 50 have osteoporosis with nearly 80% remaining undiagnosed. Bone densitometry is an essential tool in managing bone health and can monitor the effects of age, diet, or treatments on your bone density status.
A full body scan is often called a DEXA, which is short for dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. This new testing tool will provide our community with the best technology available to monitor and preserve bone health.
