In 2010, our local Maurices initiated a giving opportunity for their customers to participate in during the holiday season. With a purchase, the customer has the option to donate a plush stuffed puppy to be given to children that visit the Scott & White Hospital-Brenham Emergency Department. This local idea is now used throughout all the Maurices stores.
This December Foundation Director Margie Young visited the Brenham Maurices location to receive the store's donation of 41 beagles. These plush stuffed animals will be given to children that visit the Scott & White Emergency Room throughout the year.
"S&W Healthcare Foundation-Brenham appreciates Maurices for their thoughtfulness and for choosing to support our local hospital while benefitting local children," says Margie Young, Foundation Director.
