Scott & White Healthcare - Brenham welcomes new medical director
BRENHAM, Texas (December 12, 2011) – Scott & White Healthcare - Brenham is pleased to welcome Michael R. Schlabach, MD, MPH, as the new medical director of the Scott & White Clinic - Highway 290 and the Chief Medical Officer for Scott & White Hospital - Brenham.
Dr. Schlabach's specialty is internal medicine - the investigation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of various diseases. His practice is conveniently located at the Scott & White Professional Center I at 604 Highway 290 West, Suite 301, in Brenham.
“I am extremely happy to be in Brenham and especially to be a part of Scott & White Healthcare, an organization known for its quality medical care and service. The next few years will be an exciting time as the scope of medical services and the number of providers here in Brenham will be expanding,” says Dr. Schlabach. “In addition, I am committed to ensuring that the people of Brenham and the surrounding communities have access to the highest quality healthcare possible. Dr. Schlabach earned a masters degree in biochemistry from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Health from Medical College of Wisconsin. He earned his doctor of medicine and completed both his internship and residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medicine and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He previously served as the President of the Physician Board of Directors for the Peterson Regional Healthcare Network in Kerrville, TX, and as the Medical Director for the Bryan/College Station Community-based Outpatient Clinic. Scott & White Healthcare welcomes new family practice physician to Brenham
BRENHAM, Texas (March 1, 2011) – Scott & White Healthcare is pleased to welcome Brenham native Jennifer DeVoke, DO, back to the community. Her family practice will be conveniently located at the Scott & White Professional Center I at 604 Highway 290 West, Suite 302, in Brenham. Dr. DeVoke returns to the community with over 10 years experience caring for families, adults and children.
"I've been wanting to move back to Brenham since finishing residency," says Dr. DeVoke. "When I heard that Scott & White Healthcare was planning to bring new physicians to the community, I knew I wanted to be a part of it."
Dr. DeVoke earned earned her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 1999 and is certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Practitioners.
She believes strongly in her work and the opportunity to positively impact the lives of her patients.
"The best part of my job is really getting to know my patients and their families," says Dr. DeVoke. "In my opinion, it should be like family taking care of family when you are a family doctor. When you take the time to get to know your patients, you know how to treat them better."
